Your Legacy
Make a bequest in your Will to leave a lasting legacy which will help us to continue giving young people a sporting chance.
A Good Cause
Your gift, no matter how big or small, will be used to enhance the prospects of disabled and disadvantaged young people by engaging them in sport and recreation. The Lord’s Taverners SA help young people to achieve this by providing much-needed and very often specialised transport, as well as the funding and delivery of disabled sports programmes such as Table Cricket.
Donate Memorabilia
We hold several national fundraising events every year in which auctions are a key part of raising money for the charity. We are always looking for new prizes to supplement our auctions. If you possess an item that you would like to donate and help us in our mission to improve the lives of disadvantaged and disabled children, we would love to hear from you on +27 83 455 7555 or email info@lordstaverners.org.za.
A bequest in your Will
Writing your Will may seem like a daunting and expensive process, but it's a lot easier than you think. Before making your Will you should consider the following:
-
What your estate is: put down a list of everything you own, i.e. your “assets” and all the debts that you owe.
-
Who you will leave it to: your loved ones will always be your priority, but The Lord’s Taverners SA would be grateful for a gift large or small to be able to give young people, particularly those with special needs, a sporting chance.
-
Who will write your Will: we recommend that your Will would be best written by a solicitor or Will writing professional who will know what information and language is required to make sure your wishes are legal.
-
Who will carry out your wishes: your executor is responsible for carrying out your wishes and so the most people chose family or close friends.
Make an In Memoriam Gift
If you would like to remember a departed friend or family member, or mark the anniversary of their passing, you might like to make an In Memoriam gift to the Lord’s Taverners SA. For further details, please contact the fundraising team on +27 83 455 7555 or email info@lordstaverners.org.za
Membership
The Lord’s Taverners South Africa is a club of successful people who have achieved something in their lives and now want to give back. We need other generous members to join us. Through hard work or good fortune, many can afford to be financially generous, supporting the charity through event sponsorship or auction bids. For others, generosity of spirit is more important. Generous with their time, generous with their knowledge, contacts or experience, generous in being prepared to give of themselves for the benefit of those less fortunate - they are givers, not takers.
The Lord’s Taverners South Africa also needs people with commitment. People who are prepared to be active in support of the Club and the Charity. Attending our functions and bringing friends and business colleagues with them to continually raise the awareness of both arms of this non-profit organisation.
We wish to grow a formidable membership base that can swiftly start changing the lives of those less fortunate, thus giving young people a sporting chance.
To find out more about our membership options, please email David Ralph at info@lordstaverners.org.za.
